A total of twenty-five artistes will compete in the national Ragga Soca and Soca Monarch competitions this evening at Victoria Park.
The show, which begins at 8:00 p.m., will feature twelve artistes vying for the Ragga Soca Monarch title, while thirteen artistes will compete for the Soca Monarch crown.
Ragga Soca Monarch Competition
Twelve artistes will perform in the Ragga Soca Monarch competition. They are:
- Nimroy “Zeron” LaBorde with “Vacation”
- Rajiv “Suh Raw” Sutherland with “Fete We Getting”
- Giovanni “GEO” Collins with “Gimme That Wine Day”
- Tyrique “Dfusion” Thomas with “Mission”
- Marallis “Moralis” Wilkins with “Sideman”
- Angelique “Angie Maya” Garraway with “No Owner”
- Reon “Maddzart” Primus with “RAIN”
- Delroy Fireman Hooper with “Mash Me Up”
- Hance John with “Party Like We”
- Gregory “Pekos Jr” Cato with “Looking for Sober”
- Claydon “Dymez” Roache & Elrico “Dapixel” Hunte with “Doh Hold Back/Overdose”
- Utamu “Bongo Prime” Rose with “Mardi Gras (Trouble in Town)”
The reigning Ragga Soca Monarch is Hance John.
Soca Monarch Competition (Power Soca Segment)
Meanwhile, thirteen competitors will participate in the Soca Monarch competition, also known as the Power Soca segment. The finalists are:

- Lornette “Fya Empress” Nedd with “Acrobat”

- Lee “Jace” Gerald Bullock with “Till Morning”
- Utamu “Bongo Prime” Rose with “Maddest Place”
- Rajiv William Amron “Suh Raw” Sutherland & Giovanni “Geo” Anthony Collins with “Shellings”
- Delry “Fireman” Hooper & Gamal “Skinny Fabulous” Doyle with “Erupt”
- Jamarie Romel “L Pank” Stepleton with “Love Yuh Bad”
- Shannan “Kelly J” John with “Start Again”

The reigning Soca Monarch is Delroy Fireman Hooper.
Guest performances will come from a number of artistes including Lexi, Chewalee, and Problem Child.
The evening promises an exciting showcase of talent as these artistes compete for national titles in their respective categories.
