The Public Service Commission has announced the acting appointment of seven Permanent Secretaries across key government ministries in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

According to a statement issued by the Commission, the appointments became necessary following the creation of three new ministries and the retirement of several Permanent Secretaries.

The appointments were approved by the Governor General, acting on the advice of the Public Service Commission and with the consent of the Prime Minister. They take effect from June 8, 2026 and will remain in place until further notice.

Among those appointed are Gizelle Myers to the Ministry of Fisheries, Maritime and Land Conservation and Climate Change; Colville King to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation; and Dornette Hull to the Ministry of Housing, Land Management, Urban Development and Informal Settlement Upgrading.

The Commission also announced the appointments of Angelita Miller to the Ministry of The Family, Gender Affairs, Persons with Disabilities, Local Government and Labour; Rommel Currency to the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries; Donna Joyette-Bascombe to the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development; and Joanne Benjamin-DaSilva to the Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environmental Health and Energy.

The Commission said the appointments form part of ongoing adjustments within the Public Service following recent changes to the structure of government ministries.
