Afghanistan: 3 US troops among dead in suicide bombing

At least 13 people were killed, 3 U.S. troops among them, and another 25 wounded when a suicide bomber on a motorcycle attacked them yesterday in the Faryab province. The attack happened in a park in Maimanah, the capital of Faryab province. The troops were in the park taking pictures and filming interviews when the attacker rode in on a motorcycle and detonated his explosives. Violent attacks have increased since the withdrawal from Afghanistan began. Thus far in 2012 nearly 100 international troops have been killed in Afghanistan while security responsibility is transferred to the Afghans.
