EZ Essentials, a local social enterprise developed and founded by LaFleur Little, has officially launched its first menstrual product vending machine, marking a major milestone in its mission to improve menstrual hygiene accessibility across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This launch follows EZ Essentials’ success in the GECCU Innovative Business Idea Competition, where the project was recognized for its creative and practical approach to addressing menstrual care challenges in public spaces.

While most women would not openly speak about accessing menstrual products during emergencies because of the taboo that surrounds it, EZ Essentials has found a way to make access affordable, convenient, and discreet.

The first vending machine has been installed at the Soroptimist Comfort Station located in heritage square, on 23rd October 2025, with plans to install additional units over the next two weeks.

The manual, coin-operated vending machines dispense sanitary pads for just $2, providing immediate access for women and girls during menstrual emergencies. The machines require no electricity and are maintained and stocked entirely by the EZ Essentials team.

Founder LaFleur Little shared, “This project is about more than convenience, it’s about dignity, creating access, and the empowerment of women. No woman or girl should have to struggle to find a menstrual product when she needs one.”

EZ Essentials plans to install vending machines in more publicly used restrooms across the country, continuing its mission to promote menstrual equity and normalize access to essential care products.
