Grace Corned Beef Recalled

CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. May 24, 2010: Grace Foods has recalled two batches of its canned corned beef.

The company, part of Grace Kennedy Limited, yesterday issued the recall of 12 oz cans of corned beef bearing CODES 100204 or 100205 with `Brasil Inspecionado 337 S.I. F.` stamped on the top of the can.

Grace said it has been advised by the supplier of the product that the recall was necessary after routine testing revealed higher than USDA allowable levels of Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic treatment routinely used for cattle, was found in two affected batches of the product.
