A local entrepreneur in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is offering custom-made graduation memorabilia through her business, Balloon Gifts Decor.
The business aims to help people make their graduations and other events more memorable by providing bespoke balloon decorations.
Ms Dhalia Browne operates the business. She told One News SVG that she started the venture because she had always wanted to become an entrepreneur.
She said she focuses on providing decorations for a variety of events, but graduations are particularly special, as her designs can encourage children to aim higher and achieve greatness.
Ms Browne, who has been designing since 2018, said the feedback she has received so far has been positive.
“It’s been reasonably good so far. The reactions to the balloon decor have made me feel inspired to do more,” she said.
She explained that she has created balloon decorations for several schools and individuals, giving graduation ceremonies a fresh new feel and an atmosphere to match the theme or mood required by clients.
Ms Browne also produces balloon decorations on request for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, and Christmas celebrations.
Some challenges she has faced include customers requesting delivery and ensuring orders arrive in the country on time.
She said her motivation comes from her belief in God and the saying, “I can do all things through Christ and fear no one but God”.
She can be contacted on Instagram @Balloon_gifts_decor, as Dhalia Browne on Facebook, or by telephone at 1 784 491-4060 for orders.
Here is some of the work she has produced so far.
