Five dynamic male entrepreneurs will compete for the chance to win a total of XCD $25,000 in cash grants to grow and expand their businesses, as part of a pitch competition hosted by the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED).

The Business Pitch Competition is one of the major highlights of the Technical Assistance for Men’s Employment and Entrepreneurship Development (TAMEED) project, which began in January. The event is expected to showcase innovation, social impact, and business readiness among participants.

Developed by the CED, the TAMEED project was designed to equip male entrepreneurs with the tools and skills necessary for sustainable business growth. It focuses on three key areas: personal and professional development, mentorship, and financial support.

The five finalists competing for the top prizes are: Eric Clarke of Teric’s Poultry and Meats, Jessie DaSouza of Vibie’s Concrete Products and Services, Hartiem Farrell of Hartiem Farrell Couture, Rayshorn Richardson of Eknotec Services Ltd and Ferique Shortte of Union Food Processing.

The highly anticipated pitch event will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the CED Conference Room, where each finalist will present their business before a panel of judges. The first and second-place winners will receive cash grants of XCD $15,000 and XCD $10,000 respectively.

The TAMEED project will conclude with a closing ceremony on Friday, July 18, where all finalists and other successful participants will receive additional financial grants to support the development and expansion of their enterprises.

The initiative is funded by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and executed by the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc.
