St. Vincent and the Grenadines will join the rest of the region in celebrating Caribbean Tourism Month this November, as the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture launches a month-long series of activities held under the local tourism awareness slogan “Tourism is Everyone’s Business: Live it, Love it, Embrace it”.

According to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), Caribbean Tourism Month aims to raise awareness among Caribbean people of the importance of tourism, under the theme “Caribbean Cultural Mosaic: Rejuvenating Heritage and Authenticity” to enhance the profile of the region’s tourism sector, reflect on tourism’s economic, social, and cultural impact, attract positive media coverage, and celebrate the diversity of what the Caribbean has to offer.

This year, the CTO has launched a regional storytelling initiative to anchor Caribbean Tourism Month, under the sub-theme “Our Cultural Gem,” showcasing short features from member destinations that highlight the traditions, creativity, and resilience that make the Caribbean a global leader in culture-based tourism.

The month-long programme, coordinated by the Department of Tourism in collaboration with the SVG Tourism Authority and the SVG Hotel and Tourism Association, seeks to raise local awareness of the significant contribution of sustainable tourism to the well-being of Vincentians.

Activities planned for Tourism Month 2025 include tourism education school visits and field trips, a “Know Your Country” tour, a workshop on hotel maintenance, tourism “Chit-Chat” radio programmes, and visitor appreciation days at the Kingstown Cruise Terminal and Argyle International Airport. The celebrations will officially commence with a church service at the Streams of Power Church in Sion Hill, where staff and stakeholders will gather for corporate worship.
