Team SVG Shines at Caribbean Archery Championships, Secures Multiple Medals

The Archery Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (AASVG) fielded a team of seven archers who competed in the recently held World Archery Americas (WAA) Caribbean Development Championships in Trinidad and Tobago, capturing multiple medals across individual, doubles, and mixed doubles events.
The Championships showcased 232 archers from 11 nations across the Caribbean, competing in the region’s largest archery tournament. Over the four-day event, Team SVG achieved impressive results, earning medals in ten categories and divisions. Teams were formed following the qualifying rounds, with some consisting of archers from different countries.
In the final results, Team SVG achieved remarkable success across multiple divisions. In the individual events, Rayon Clarke won a gold medal in the RDM 50m category, while Richol Richards earned a bronze medal in the RDW 50m event. Divya Jiandani secured a silver medal in the RDU18W 50m division, and Dimetre Hadley also captured silver in the RBU18M 30m event.

In the doubles competitions, Richol Richards and Karen Palmer claimed a silver medal in the RDW 50m category, setting a new CDC record of 1,077 points. Divya Jiandani and Aria Batchasingh of Trinidad and Tobago earned silver in the RDU18W 50m division, while Dimetre Hadley and Jeremiah Hermanstyne of the British Virgin Islands also took silver in the RBU18M 30m event.
In the mixed doubles category, Richol Richards and Ian Gibson secured silver in the RDX 50m event, while Karen Palmer and Courtlee Rodrigues of Guyana captured bronze in the same division. Dimetre Hadley and Anhia Perex of Puerto Rico won silver in the RBU18X 30m event, and Divya Jiandani, partnering with Saifullah Gani of Guyana, struck gold in the RDU18/21X 50m event, setting a new CDC record of 1,090 points.
