Vincentian Artists to Transcend Borders at Grenada Caribbean Music Festival

By Alejandro Tesorero. Updated 8:24 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2025, Atlantic Standard Time (GMT-4).
As we draw near to the end of 2025, Vincentian excellence continues to shine across the regional and global cultural arena. On November 8th, homegrown superstar Kevin Lyttle and rising talent CHILLBILL will grace the stage at The Lawn at Port Louis in St. George’s, Grenada for the second edition of the new Grenada Caribbean Music Festival (GCMF).
This event, also headlined by renowned acts such as Grammy-nominated reggae artist Protoje, Sevana, Mortimer, V’ghn, Tallpree and more, presents a unique opportunity for our creatives to continue pushing the envelope of what defines Vincentian culture, and which audiences consume it.
Still riding on the wave of popularity created by his song “DahLayne”, a modern dancehall-infused remix of Kevin Lyttle’s 2003 mega-hit “Turn Me On”, CHILLBILL’s recent success underscores the importance of transcending borders to propel one’s own culture.
“My whole aim is to show that positive music wins always, ” said CHILLBILL in a short conversation with the author.

“We brought back this song in a new way, fusing different genres to show that culture from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is not one-dimensional. We are a multitalented people that can do many things.”
What stemmed from a viral moment on social media has created a ripple effect for the young artist, seeing him collaborate with fellow Vincentian Skinny Fabulous, renowned Jamaican producer IzyBeats and even more recently Tarrus Riley, who put his own twist on the remix.
From performing in Miami Carnival, to racking up streaming numbers as far as Sweden, CHILLBILL is excited to now be making a special appearance at the Grenada Caribbean Music Festival alongside Kevin Lyttle himself. For years Kevin has been a torchbearer of oursignature sound abroad, representing the country as recently as September in Japan for the World Expo 2025, as was covered by One News SVG. The feature of Vincentian talent at an event with such high visibility opens the doors for other likeminded creatives to enter similar spaces. By encouraging our young talent, fostering an avenue for artists and building networks around the region, we are able to showcase the very best of Vincentian creativity to audiences hungry for fresh, innovative art forms.
Organizers of the Grenada Caribbean Music Festival promise an expanded experience for the second edition, with enhanced stage production, curated food and drink options, and upgraded patron amenities. The festival is expected to welcome more than 3,500 attendees and will once again activate its vendor village and hospitality offerings, spotlighting local Grenadian flavours and small businesses while offering an evening full of live music, culture, and community in one of Grenada’s most scenic waterfront venues.
This year’s GCMF will be an unforgettable celebration of Caribbean culture and sound, with tickets now being available at go2fete.com starting at XCD$200. More information about the Grenada Caribbean Music Festival can be found via their social media pages (links below).
