On June 30, Jack’s Beach Bar shared a photograph on social media showing Mr. Smith with a local resident. The soul singer also posted several images on his Instagram feed and stories, featuring a turtle and a tropical island backdrop.

In its public post, Jack’s Beach Bar Bequia stated:
“On any given day, we guarantee a celebrity is sippin’ a drink at your favourite beach bar 🌴
Our House Dj @deejay_adiktid met Sam Smith @samsmith at Jack’s Beach Bar yesterday 😎”

Bequia, a favourite for tourists is one of the 32 islands and cays that make up the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), located in the Eastern Caribbean.

Born on May 19, 1992, in London, England, Sam Smith is described by Britannica as a British soul singer with a mellifluous voice, recognised for lyrics that challenge conventional notions of romantic love prevalent in popular soul music.

According to Billboard, Sam Smith’s most successful songs include “Stay With Me,” “I’m Not The Only One,” “Dancing With A Stranger,” and “Unholy.” “Stay With Me” notably reached number two on the Hot 100 chart.

Mr. Smith’s visit means he joins other notable celebrities who have recently visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

American actress Anne Hathaway and acclaimed actor and filmmaker Robert Downey Jr. have recently visited the country. Their arrival adds to the increasing number of high-profile individuals who have chosen St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a holiday destination, including Joe Manganiello, Lionel Richie, YouTube personality Mr. Beast, actress Gabrielle Union-Wade, and Devalle Ellis with his wife Khadeen Ellis who has Vincentian roots.
