4.8 Magnitude earthquake felt heavily in St. Vincent

Several persons in St. Vincent and Grenadines have reported that they felt, in a heavy manner, an earthquake on Sunday night (April 27).

The University of the West Indies Saint Augustine Campus’ Seismic Research Centre confirmed that an earthquake occurred on Sunday night between St. Vincent and Barbados at 7:33 p.m.

The earthquake’s magnitude was 4.8, and it was located at Latitude 13.25N and Longitude 60.33 W. It had a depth of 23 km.

There are no immediate reports of damage.
