The Central Leeward town Barrouallie has taken the 2024 Best Village title.
The results were announced moments ago by the National Independence Committee of the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development, and Culture.
The group responsible for the win is the Central Leeward Impact Project (Barrouallie).
They received an average rating of 81.
The National Independence Committee said the competition was held from Tuesday 22ndOctober to Thursday 24th October 2024.
It said seven (7) communities took part in the Best Village competition and two (2) in the BestFlower Garden category.
In the second position in the Best Village category was the North Windward community of Point with a 77.50 average rating. The community group in charge was The New Foundation.
Third position went to Troumaca with a 69.67 average.
The Best Flower Garden title was won by Olivia Da Silva of Cane End with an average rating of 74.
The second position in the Best Flower Garden category was won by Sandilane Garden located in Fountain. They received an average rating of 71.33.
