BREAKING: Man shot and killed in Edinboro

We can confirm that a man was shot and killed in Edinboro at around 12:40 p.m., on Sunday (November 17*).

The deceased has only been identified by his alias – “Spookie”.

The circumstances surrounding his death are currently unclear.

Police are investigating.

His killing brings the homicide count in SVG to 43 (subject to update), one more than the record 42 recorded in 2022 and 12 less than the record 55 homicides recorded in 2023.

The man’s death comes after the November 15 killing of Campden Park resident Brent Hackshaw whose body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds at a dock in Villa with a message left at the crime scene.

It also comes after the November 16 discovery of a body with gunshot wounds in the Fairbairn Pasture area.
