Police say that on November 22, 2024, they arrested and charged Jamorie Delpesche, a 25-years-old resident of Redemption Sharpes, with the offence of Murder.
In a November 25, press release, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said: “According to investigations, the accused with malice aforethought, caused the death of a 43-year-old Farmer of Petit Bordel by shooting him about his body with a gun”.
“The offence was committed on September 20, 2024, in Petit Bordel,” police said.
The accused appeared before the Serious Offences Court on November 25, 2024. Because of the indictable nature of this offence, he was not required to enter a plea. Delpesche was remanded in custody until December 5, 2024, police said.
Gibson Corner resident charged with Criminal Trespass
On November 23, 2024, police arrested and charged Ulrick Porter, a 67-year-old resident of Gibson Corner, with the offence of Criminal Trespass.
Investigations revealed that the accused entered the property of a 56-year-old Farmer with the intent to annoyed him.
The offence was committed on October 26, 2024, at Gibson Corner.
Porter appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on November 25, 2024. The defendant was admitted to the Mental Health Center for two weeks evaluation. Due to this ruling the defendant was not allowed to plea. The matter was adjourned to December 12, 2024.
Layou Labourer charged with Theft
On November 23, 2024, police arrested and charged Treven Henson, a 32-year-old Labourer of Layou, with the offence of Theft.
According to investigations, the accused stole one (1) black and purple TCL Cellular phone valued at $345.00 ECC, one (1) grey and black Power pack valued at $50.00 ECC and one (1) Flow Sim valued at $25.00 ECC, total value $420.00 ECC, the property of a 46-year-old Carpenter of Rillan Hill.
The offence was committed on November 2, 2024, in Rillan Hill.
Henson appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on November 25, 2024, and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was remanded into custody until November 26, 2024, for sentencing.
Labourer charged with Assault
On November 24, 2024, police arrested and charged Claudius Bruce, a 48-year-old Labourer of Clare Valley, with the offence of Assault.
According to investigations, the accused assaulted a 75-year-old Retiree of the same address by pushing him to the ground with his hands causing Actual Bodily Harm.
The offence was committed in Clare Valley on October 11, 2024.
Bruce appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on November 25,2024, and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety and ordered not to have any contact with the complainant. He was also instructed to report to the Questelles Police Station every Wednesday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and the matter was adjourned to March 3, 2025 for trial.
