Man hospitalised, unable to speak after being mercilessly beaten in Diamonds

A man is currently nursing serious injuries at a hospital and is unable to speak after being mercilessly beaten by several men in the South Central Windward community of Diamonds.

He also has a stab wound to the back of his neck and another on his right side.

One News SVG was informed that the incident took place around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, November 23.

According to preliminary reports, the man, Denny Dublin, 60, was headed to his home* after hanging out with friends in the Diamonds area.

On his way home, he was assaulted by an individual who approached him. He reportedly retaliated to defend himself and was beaten about his head, even with a wooden by several men.

He also suffered stab wounds, and a broken nose, and was left for dead, sources say.

Someone from the area took him to hospital, and he is currently nursing injuries. He also cannot currently speak.

Sources say the perpetrators have not been arrested and charged.
