Kingstown School, Special Needs Celebrates International Day for Persons with Disabilities

On Tuesday December 3, Kingstown School for Children with Special Needs celebrated the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. This day was an opportunity to honor the achievements and contributions of individuals with disabilities as they held a wonderful cupcake sale.
The students participated in various activities that showcased their talents and fostered spirits of inclusion. The school thanked everyone who participated and contributed to making the event a success. They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that respects and values diversity.
OneNewsSVG interviewed Kesley Cambridge, who is the Counselor for child development division, stated that International Day for Persons with Disabilities means “highlighting and Advocating the challenges that persons with disabilities have while at the same time elevating them, promoting them and encouraging them despite of their disabilities we still appreciate all the efforts that they make.”
The school staff stresses to seek support in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. The collaboration between staff and families is greatly appreciated, which is essential for the success of the students.
