The Central Water and Sewage Authority (CWSA) has announced that water supply in eleven communities will be interrupted nightly until an undisclosed issue with the Dallaway water system is resolved.

In an emergency notice issued on Thursday night, the state-owned company stated that it was “reporting a recently discovered issue with the Dallaway Water Distribution System.”

“As a result, the following areas will be without a water supply from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM nightly until the matter is fully resolved,” the notice indicated.

The Dallaway Water System supplies approximately 40 percent of the piped water in St. Vincent.

The affected communities include Clare Valley, Roucha Bay, Cane Garden, Lowmans Leeward (Plan), Mountain Cabbage, New Roads, Frenches, Cane Hall, Belair, Fountain/Villa, and New Montrose.

The CWSA expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by this disruption.

This announcement follows several complaints made on social media regarding unexplained disruptions in water supply during nighttime hours in recent times.
