2 Teens from 2 different communities reported missing

Police announced today (January 10) that two teens have been reported missing.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said on its Facebook page that missing are female students Jaynia George, 14, of Layou, and Melanie Durrant, 13, of Fairbaine Pasture.

Police said if anyone has seen the students – George or Durrant, or has any information on their whereabouts, they should contact Police Emergency: 911 / 999, the Calliaqua Police Station at 1-784-458-4200, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at 1-784-456-1810. 

Persons can also speak with any nearby police station or officer they are comfortable with.

All information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality, police said, adding, “Let’s work together to bring” the teens home safely.

Ms. George, 14, from Layou

Ms. George, the student from Layou was last seen on 6th January 2025 at 1:00pm.

According to police, she was wearing a grey top, short blue jeans skirts, black Gucci slippers and a black Champion bookbag over her shoulder.

She is 5 feet 4 inches tall, dark in complexion, simply built, has a narrow fac, and ahas a scar on the left side of her eye.

Ms. Durrant, 13, from Fairbaine Pasture

Ms. Durrant was last seen on the 6th of January, 2025, but her dress code is unknown.

She is being described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, simply built, dark in complexion with short negroid hair.
