New Cabinet Sworn-In

Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Cabinet of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

Prime Minister Hon Dr. Godwin Friday today unveiled his new Cabinet. At the helm, Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday will oversee the powerful portfolio of Minister of Finance, Legal Affairs & Justice, Economic Planning, and Private Sector Development, signalling his direct role in shaping the country’s fiscal and legal agenda.  

He will be supported by Deputy Prime Minister Hon Major St. Clair Leacock, who has been entrusted with the of Minister of National Security and Immigration, reinforcing continuity in matters of state security. In addition, Sarah Louise Mitchell, daughter of former Prime Minister Sir James Mitchell, was sworn in as Attorney General 

The Cabinet also includes:  

Hon Daniel Cummings (West Kingstown) – Minister of Health and Wellness, and Energy  

Hon Terrance Ollivierre (Southern Grenadines) – Minister of Higher Education, Grenadines Affairs, Local Government, Airports, and Seaports  

Hon Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble (East Kingstown) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, and Diaspora Affairs  

Hon Nigel Stephenson (South Leeward) – Minister of Transport, Infrastructure & Physical Planning  

Hon Israel Bruce (South Central Windward) – Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Transformation  

Hon Kaschaka Cupid (West St. George) – Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture, and Creative Industries  

Hon Phillip Jackson (Marriaqua) – Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Innovation, and Digital Transformation  

Hon Andrew John (South Windward) – Minister of Housing, Urban Development, Land Management, and Informal Settlement Upgrading  

Hon Mrs. Laverne Gibson-Velox (East St. George) – Minister of the Family, Gender Affairs, Persons with Disabilities, Occupational Safety, and Labour   

Hon Mrs. Shevern John (North Windward) – Minister of Social Welfare and Community Empowerment, Disaster Management, and National Heritage  

Hon Dr. Kishorn Shallow (North Leeward) – Minister of Tourism and Maritime Affairs  

Chieftain Neptune (Senator) – Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister 

Ms. Lavern King (Senator) – Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Innovation, and Digital Transformation.
