The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is calling on farmers, livestock owners, fishers, and agriculture-based households to participate in the upcoming Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF).
The Census will collect information on farms, fisheries, livestock, land use, and household involvement in agriculture.
The data collected is intended to inform national planning, guide policy development, and support the efficient allocation of resources across the sector.
The exercise is being conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation, and the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine and Land Conservation, and Climate Resilience, in collaboration with the Statistical Office and the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Private Sector Development.
In preparation for the Census, training sessions for census personnel, including supervisors and enumerators, were held from January 26 to January 28, 2026. Sessions took place at the University of the West Indies in Kingstown, New Life Ministries Church in New Grounds, and Kingdom Life Ministry Church in Barrouallie.
