The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) announced on Wednesday that operations at Police Headquarters, including the Office of the Commissioner of Police, will be temporarily relocated.

As part of this transition, Police Headquarters will close at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026.

The Police Headquarters is located next to the Central Police Station on Bay Street. Services like accessing police records and permits for playing amplified music are offered there.

The reason for the temporary relocation was not stated. Still, it comes after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security St. Clair Leacock announced that some police across the country were working in deplorable conditions and pledged that his government would address the issue.

The RSVGPF said operations will resume on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Moussa Building, formerly occupied by the VAT Unit, along Grenville Street, Kingstown.

Members of the public are advised to take note of this temporary arrangement when conducting business with Police Headquarters, police said in the release.
