Minister of Tourism and North Leeward MP, Dr. Kishore Shallow, has assured Vincentians that the new government will protect job security and expand employment opportunities without political bias.

His remarks came during a town hall meeting, where a member of the audience raised concerns that supporters of the previous administration continue to hold jobs while some long-time supporters of the New Democratic Party (NDP) feel excluded from employment opportunities under the present government.

Responding directly, Dr. Shallow reminded constituents of the NDP’s campaign pledge to safeguard jobs, create new positions, and raise salaries. He emphasised that the administration will not follow the path of political victimisation, which he said characterised governance in the past.

“We are not going down the road that ULP went for 25 years. We are not going to victimize people because they vote for ULP. Expect that this new government is going to look out for every single Vincentian, regardless of who they supported in the past,” Dr. Shallow stated.

He stressed that fairness and inclusivity are central to the government’s approach, noting that every citizen should benefit from national growth and development regardless of political affiliation.

Dr. Shallow concluded by affirming that Prime Minister Dr. Godwin Friday and his cabinet are committed to building a stronger economy where job security and improved livelihoods are guaranteed for all.
