DEP Sports Strategies (DEPSS), the first private sports consultancy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, is set to launch on March 3rd, 2026, aiming to tackle longstanding challenges in governance, compliance, and funding within the national sports sector.
The company said it was formed to provide professional support to national sporting organisations, clubs, and leagues facing persistent challenges.
Touching on some of these issues, DEP Sports Strategies noted: “The sports sector in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines faces persistent challenges that hinder its growth and competitiveness. These include inadequate governance structures and compliance issues within national associations, limited access to sustainable funding and resources, outdated or insufficient strategic planning, difficulties in securing international alignment and grants, challenges in event organisation and competition management, declining participation in some disciplines, infrastructure constraints, and broader administrative hurdles that affect clubs, leagues, and federations.”
DEP Sports Strategies aims to provide tailored, high-quality support to strengthen leadership and organisational capacity across the sporting sector. This includes helping associations develop proper governance structures, constitutions, and policies to prevent compliance issues, as well as assisting in strategic and operational planning to ensure clear direction and growth.
The consultancy will also guide clubs and organisations in preparing grant and funding proposals, organise competitions and events professionally to increase participation and visibility, and provide ongoing advisory support to executive committees.
Additionally, DEPSS seeks to help local sporting bodies meet the standards required by international governing organisations such as FIFA and the International Olympic Committee, ensuring that Vincentian sport is competitive and compliant on the regional and global stage.
With its official launch at Paradise Beach Hotel next month, the consultancy hopes to elevate professional standards, improve compliance, and unlock the full potential of athletes and sporting organisations across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
