Students at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) have launched a line of locally processed herbal teas under a campaign called “Tea-Tiime”.
The launch took place on March 10th, 2026 at the SVGCC Food Science Laboratory at the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) Arnos Vale Campus.
The herbal tea flavors made with a range of local raw materials including cinnamon, cloves, orange peels, bay leaves, ginger, sorrel, and lemongrass, among others, include Love in a Mug, Lava Love Chai, Midnight Spice, Bay Rebel, Whispering Bay, and Guinea Fire Whisper.
In a press release, the students said the launch is part of the Community College’s drive to boost local production while promoting the skill and capabilities of young people in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Over the next four (4) weeks, a series of pop-up shop events will be conducted across all divisions of the community college.
The herbal teas are produced by the Food Science students at the DTVE in the recently opened Food Science Laboratory under the strictest conditions, and, through a collaboration, the Digital Media and Marketing Students are handling the marketing of the teas through a gradedseven-week campaign called Tea Tiime. For now, the campaign focuses on promoting the teas to lecturers and staff at the SVGCC (the primary target) and students at the DTVE (the secondary target).
The objectives of the Integrated Marketing campaign include building awareness about the herbal teas.
The herbal teas are available for order via the brand’s (Tea Tiime) social media channels: Facebook, Instagram and tiktok, @teatiime784.
