A man was shot dead in the Diamond community tonight (March 20).
Reports indicate that the victim, a shopkeeper, was at his workplace when gunmen approached and opened fire.
The man has been identified as Winston ‘Zeke’ Williams, whose body was lifeless at the scene.
Police have responded to the incident.
Sources state that the business premises where he worked had been robbed on several previous occasions. However, the motive of tonight’s incident is unknown at this time.
We will continue to monitor this story and provide further details as they emerge from authoritative sources.
Williams’s death follows the killing of Lenford Peters, a 43-year-old labourer from Richland Park, on February 7, 2026 along the Diamond/Brighton public road.
Preliminary investigations suggest that at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, 7 February 2026, Peters was walking along the road when he was accosted by a masked assailant, shot, and sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
