A Vincentian national from Calder Ridge/Victoria Village area in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has been identified as the victim of a suspected homicide in Dominica, according to authorities in that country.
The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) said officers attached to the Portsmouth Police Station responded to a report of a suspected homicide in the Ti-Bay area of Portsmouth at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
Dominica Police identified the deceased as 45-year-old Joshwin Carlice Morgan, a foreign national who resided in Ti-Bay, Portsmouth.
He is also known in SVG by the alias “Hawkeye”

According to a statement issued by the CDPF, preliminary investigations indicate that Morgan was found unresponsive inside a motor vehicle with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
He was transported to the Fitzroy Armour Hospital in Portsmouth, where he was examined by a medical doctor and pronounced dead later that evening.
Police said Morgan’s body has been placed at a funeral home pending a post-mortem examination.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, and authorities have not released any information regarding suspects or a possible motive.
The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force said it is appealing to members of the public who may have information relevant to the investigation to contact the Portsmouth Police Station, the Criminal Investigations Department, Crime Stoppers, or any police station in Dominica.
In its statement, the CDPF expressed sincere condolences to Morgan’s family and loved ones.

Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation while detectives work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
