Police have confirmed the discovery of a decomposing male body in a house in the North Central Windward community of Park Hill.
Villagers found the remains today, 7 January, after noticing a strong odour emanating from the property.
The deceased has been identified only as “Spoonge”.
The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, with details still emerging.
If the discovery is classified a homicide, it will be the first homicide of 2026.

In 2025, there were 40 homicides in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), a more than 25 percent decrease from the 54 recorded in 2024.
