The Carib-Beans Superfoods Coffee House, which describes itself as SVG’s only specialist Coffee House, continues to celebrate the opening of its new location in the gardens of the Paradise Beach Hotel.

In a January 10 press release, the company said the launch took place on Sunday 22nd December with a green ribbon cutting event, attended by many of their loyal members and customers.

The Coffee House business, owned and managed by local entrepreneur Eniye Kagbala, first launched SVG’s only specialist Coffee House in 2021 at the Cruise Ship Terminal, Kingstown, and has chosen the Paradise Beach Hotel as the perfect place to launch a complimentary business and provide more options for customers, the press release stated.

According to the press release, Eniye commented “Our goal with our 2nd location is to extend our reach and bring our unique menu and experience to even more customers, especially those living closer to this location. We have taken our most popular food and drink items and extended our menu even further with a new range of health-focused dishes and delicious drinks that take their inspiration from our very own mother nature.

So much in fact that in a first for SVG our customers can choose items from our vegetable and herb beds on-site, giving a true nature to table experience.”

The Superfoods Coffee House offers its customers a wide range of Smoothies, Juices, steamed food and snacks, with many seasoned international customers surprised at how much more is on offer versus a traditional Coffee House.

“From the very beginning we were determined to better educate our customers on the benefits of certain Superfood ingredients, whether that be the health benefits of Chia Seeds or Pea Protein in a Smoothie, the advantages of steamed or grilled chicken versus fried, or simply the enjoyment of a rainbow inspired Super Salad or Lettuce Wrap as our customers share their culinary journey with us.”

Kagbala added “We now have over 400 members who have signed up to be a “Coffee Connoisseur”, giving them exclusive access to early menu additions, VIP invites to various events and prize draws, plus a loyalty scheme that rewards cashback points for every purchase. Unlike other loyalty schemes in SVG, our points don’t expire every year and members can redeem them whenever they want”.

Kagbala said she is very proud of the Carib-Beans Superfoods Coffee House vision, noting the employment opportunities now afforded to many young Vincentians who have an interest in the health/hospitality sector, including a new state-of-the art commercial kitchen that was opened last year with a team of very talented chefs who bring her unique menu to life.

“We had a vision when we first envisaged the Coffee House business, and I am very grateful to my wonderful team of professionals who have fully realised this vision. We strive to bring healthy dietary choices to our customers and are very pleased we have been able to add our hospitality experience to the many excellent and varied restaurants and cafes across SVG.”

So what’s next for the Coffee House? “Whilst Eniye wasn’t able to reveal her next steps, she did suggest that some very exciting news would be revealed later in January that would answer the prayers of many Vincentians who have occasion to use our excellent international airport, so watch this space!!” the press release stated.

“She also hinted that this proud Vincentian company was exploring options in other Caribbean territories, but the home SVG market would always be the founding location and carry the unique SVG culture with it wherever in the world you may see the business in the future,” the press release added.
