A female tourist has died in the what officials are calling a suspected drowning.
According to reports, the foreigner was swimming in the Tobago Cays Marine Park today (March 27) when she reportedly blacked out.
She immediately received medical attention to no avail.

The incident is the second suspected drowning incident in a month.
On March 2, a tourist was found dead at Chatham Bay in Union Island.

The incident also comes after the February 26 drowning of Petra Ortlepp, a 58-year-old German national, at Mt. Wynne on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
In a February 26 press release, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said: Reports indicate that Ortlepp was swimming with friends around midday when she was later seen floating face down in the water. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
