The Rural Transformation Unit within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation is encouraging Vincentians to grow their own food to bolster national food and nutrition security by joining the 2026 National Home Gardening Competition.
Persons interested in participating can click the link: https://forms.gle/igPTNXHhrYQChFdz7 or obtain a form at the Rural Transformation Unit’s Office, Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters in Kingstown.

Registration is open until April 30th, 2026. The competition runs from May 1st to October 31st, 2026, with judging taking place from September to October 2026.
The Ministry stated that this initiative will give participants the opportunity to learn how to grow their own food, showcase their gardening skills, and be part of a growing community of home gardeners.
