Lowmans Leeward In Mourning As Youth Gunned Down

Sections of the West Kingstown community of Lowmans Hill are mourning the death of a young man who was gunned down tonight (March 25).

The deceased, in his thirties, has been identified as Collis Callie “Brain” Charles who is being described as a quiet and brilliant youth.

Reports are that he had just returned to the village today. The motive behind his killing is unknown at this time. It is also not known who shot him.

The incident has left the community in shock. A woman could be heard earlier tonight on the scene while one person said they heard about five gunshots. 

The incident is the second reported shooting today. Earlier, a man was found dead with gunshot wounds in the West Kingstown community of Ottley Hall.

Police investigations continue.
