Police say that on February 21, 2026, they arrested and charged Elijah Weekes, a 24-year-old tire technician, with the offences of criminal assault and threat.
In a February 24 press release, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) says: “According to investigations, on February 19, 2026, the accused assaulted a 59-year-old farmer of Belmont by swinging a cutlass at him with intent to commit the offence of wounding.”
The report says, he was also charged with using threatening language to the same complainant by saying (allegedly), “I go kill yo mother #$#$.”

“The offence was committed in Belmont. Weekes was granted station bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Calliaqua Magistrate Court on March 9, 2026, to answer the charge,” the report further states.
