Minor pleads guilty to stealing over $9,600 worth of goods from storeroom

Police say that on November 18, 2024, they arrested and charged a minor from Campden Park, with the offence of Burglary.
In a November 20 press release, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said: “According to investigations, the accused entered the storeroom of a business place and stole a quantity of clothing, electronics, fragrances and jewelry valued at $9,623.00ECC. The property of a business place in Kingstown”.
“The offence was committed on Melville Street, Kingstown between August 22, 2024 and August 23, 2024,” police said in the press release.
The accused appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on November 19, 2024, and pleaded guilty to the charge.
The accused was placed on a curfew between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Family Court on November 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, in a separate story in the same press release, police said that on November 18, 2024, they arrested and charged Ishmael Issacs, a 31-year-old Mechanic of Diamond, with the offence of Wounding.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused unlawfully and maliciously wounded a 27-year-old Mechanic of same address by beating him about his body with his hands and an unknown object.
The offence was committed at Mt. Pleasant on September 20, 2024.
Issacs appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on November 19, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the complainant and to report to the Mesopotamia Police Station every Wednesday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Calliaqua Magistrate Court on November 26, 2024.
