Nine Mornings Festival Launch Set for Dec 14 at Heritage Square

The National Nine Mornings Festival Committee has announced that the launch of the 2025 National Lotteries Authority Nine Mornings Festival is set for Sunday, December 14th, 2025, at Heritage Square.

The launch will begin with a street parade around Kingstown from 6:00 p.m., leading into an opening ceremony and concert from 7:00 p.m.

Remarks will be delivered by officials, including the Minister of Culture, Kaschaka Cupid, and Prime Minister Dr Godwin Friday, who will officially turn on the lights, as well as representatives of the festival’s sponsors.

There will also be entertainment from local performers and groups, including the winner of the Community Song Contest, the Bagga Carollers, and the winner of the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG) Bring Yo Song and Come Competition, Mr Alonzo Edwards.

The Committee said it is inviting the public to join in the opening celebrations of Nine Mornings, a unique Vincentian tradition, under the slogan: “Stop the Yawning, We Going Nine Mornings.”
