Opportunities for SVG Student Athletes in the U.S

The United States Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados has announced that registration is open for its Student-Athlete Workshop in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. 

The workshop “is designed to empower student-athletes, their families, coaches, counsellors, and sports administrators with essential information about U.S. college recruitment,” the Embassy says on its website. 

The event will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), but interested persons must register by November 15, 2024. 

The Embassy which is responsible for Barbados and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) said interested individuals will learn how U.S. opportunities can help them achieve success both on and off the field. 

The November 25 workshop  at the St. Vincent & the Grenadines Community College, will see sessions in Lecture Theatres (1, 2, 3). 

The session for coaches, counselors, and sports administrators will take place from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

The session for student athletes and parents will take place from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., the Embassy said.
