Richland Park SDA Primary School student Draádon A. Ackie has emerged as the top performer in the 2026 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA), achieving the highest overall average score of 98.2 per cent, according to preliminary results released by the Ministry of Education on Friday (June 19).
The results also show a modest improvement in national performance, with 88.47 per cent of students meeting the prescribed standard, up from 87.34 per cent in 2025.
A total of 1,766 Grade Six students registered for the examination, while 1,760 sat the final assessments. Of those, 1,557 students attained the required standard, including 732 males and 825 females.
The Ministry explained that students’ final scores were calculated using a combination of School-Based Assessment and External Assessment components. The School-Based Assessment accounted for 40 per cent of the overall score and included projects, writing portfolios, book reports and classroom-based evaluations. The External Assessment, worth 60 per cent, consisted of multiple-choice examinations in Mathematics, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies.
Ackie’s achievement placed him first nationally and capped a strong showing by Richland Park SDA Primary School, which secured three of the students listed among the nation’s top performers.
Kingstown Preparatory School also featured prominently in the rankings, producing several students among the top ten nationally.

Other students earning places among the top performers included Anniah Aysia John of Kingstown Preparatory School, Philan B. Lewis of Richland Park SDA Primary School, Akili Adekola Neverson of Sugar Mill Academy, Damien Skyler Franklyn of Windsor Primary School, Orijé Orando Brewster of Kingstown Preparatory School and Zuri Sarina Salandy of Brighton Methodist School.
In individual subject areas, several students achieved perfect scores. Amiah Anderson of Kingstown Preparatory School and Juliano Ryan of Dickson Methodist School each scored 100 per cent in Mathematics.
Perfect scores in Science were recorded by Akili Neverson and Amauri Greaves of Sugar Mill Academy, Jediah Luke of Windsor Primary School and Noah Yorke of Mustique Primary School.
Naailah Stevenson of Kingstown Preparatory School, Amiah Anderson, Michael Febuary of Richland Park SDA Primary School and Damien Franklyn of Windsor Primary School each achieved 100 per cent in Social Studies.
The highest score recorded in Language Arts was 96 per cent, attained by several students from schools across the country.
The Ministry noted that students were required to achieve at least 50 per cent of the available 500 marks to meet the prescribed standard.
In its release, the Ministry congratulated all students on their efforts and thanked head teachers, teachers, school staff and other stakeholders for supporting candidates throughout the assessment process.
The results released on Friday are preliminary and provide an early indication of national performance in this year’s examination.
