The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has advised the public of a road safety hazard caused by a fallen container that is currently obstructing the flow of traffic on the Leeward side of St. Vincent.

In a December 21 Public Safety Advisory, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said the incident occurred at Lowmans Hill, in the vicinity of the ULP Constituency Office, just before the Lowmans Anglican School.

Police officers are on the scene assisting with traffic flow to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians.

While reports confirm that no one was harmed, the obstruction is causing significant disruptions to traffic.

A crane has been dispatched to the site to safely remove the container and restore the roadway.

We urge all motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution in the affected area and to use alternative routes where possible. The RSVGPF is actively monitoring the situation, and we will provide updates as soon as the roadway is cleared and normal traffic flow is restored, police further stated.

We thank the public for their patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this matter safely and efficiently, the Advisory further stated.
