A 13 member squad has been selected to represent St. Vincent & the Grenadines at the 2025 Carifta Games, to be held in Trinidad & Tobago over the Easter Weekend, from April 19-21.
The games will see Track & Field Competition in two age categories; Under 17 (U17) and Under 20 (U20).
SVG’s U17 athletes are: Tashsanique Francis – Girls Shot Put, Kenneth Gurley – Boys 1500m & 3000m, Kesian John – Girls 1500m & 3000m, Romario McDowll – Boys 100m & 200m, Leemore Ollivierre – Boys 200m, Roshaun Phillips – Boys Triple Jump and Kenesha Richards – Girls 100m & 200m.
The U20 team reads: J’aivar Cato – Boys Long Jump & Triple Jump, AJ Delpesche – Boys 200m, Delron Delpesche – Boys 100m, Shaquania Jacobs – Girls 200m & 400m, Tedre O’Neil – Boys Pole Vault and J’mar Saunders – Boys 100m.

There will also be a team entered in the Mixed 4x400m Relay, made up of Kesian John, Leemore Olliveirre, Shaquania Jacobs and AJ Delpesche.
Notably absent from the squad is Keo Davis, who was ruled out due to recovery from an injury sustained during the Carifta Trials, and Tyhra Charles, who made the U20 Girls 100m standard, but was ruled out due to school commitments.
The team will leave SVG for Trinidad & Tobago on April 17 and return on the 22nd. McDowall and Cato will leave from Antigua and Jamaica respectively, where they are at school.
