The SVG Conservation Fund is offering grants of up to XCD$25,000 to sea moss farmers and producers to support sustainable sea moss farming, strengthen coastal ecosystems, and boost livelihoods through innovative, value-added production.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Conservation Fund (SVGCF) said it is inviting proposals for projects under the theme “Seamoss Farming for Livelihoods and Coastal Health.” Proposals should promote environmentally responsible sea moss farming, enhance income and employment opportunities for farmers and producers, support innovation in processing, packaging, and product diversification, build resilience in coastal communities, and strengthen partnerships among local producers and cooperatives.

Eligible applicants include sea moss farmers, cooperatives, and value-added producers who are legally registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, actively engaged in sea moss farming or production, compliant with national environmental, fisheries, and business regulations, and able to implement and manage the project with financial accountability.
Applicants are required to include a cover letter, applicant information, project description, environmental and social impact statement, budget, timeline, and monitoring plan.
The SVGCF stated that the maximum grant amount will be XCD$25,000, determined by project scope, impact, and alignment with SVGCF priorities. Funding may cover project costs, training, equipment, and community engagement, with co-financing or in-kind contributions encouraged. Proposals will be assessed on alignment with the theme, environmental sustainability, livelihood impact, feasibility, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and inclusivity, including gender, youth, and marginalised groups.
Interested individuals are asked to submit their applications by Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Grant awards will be announced in March 2026. Applications may be submitted electronically to [email protected] or in hard copy at the office on the Ground Floor of the Beache Building, Corner of Lower Long Lane and Higginson Street, Kingstown.
