Teacher charged with Wounding

Police say that on March 27, 2025, they arrested and charged Linda Peters, a 32-year-old Teacher of Calliaqua, with the offence of Wounding. 

In a March 31 press release, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said: “According to investigations, the accused unlawfully and maliciously wounded Liondias Peters, a 35-year-old Mason ofthe same address by striking him on the right side of his face with a stone.”

“The offence was committed in Calliaqua on February 23, 2025. Peters was granted station bail in the sum of $1,500.00 ECC with one surety,” the release stated.

“He is expected to appear before the Calliaqua Magistrate Court to answer to the charge,” the release further stated.

In our jurisprudence, a person charged with committing an offense is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.

Diamond resident charged with Wounding

On March 27, 2025, police arrested and charged Chris Lewis, a 46-year-old Self Employed resident of Diamond Village, with the offence of Wounding. 

According to investigations, the accused unlawfully and maliciously wounded Collie Jackson, a 40-year-old Maintenance Worker of South Rivers by striking him on the back of his head and left hand with a pool stick.

The offence was committed in San Souci on March 2, 2025. Lewis appeared before the Colonaire Magistrate Court on March 27, 2025, and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was placed on a bond for nine (9) months, if he defaults, he has to pay $900.00ECC forthwith or spend six (6) months at His Majesty’s Prison. He was also ordered to compensate the complainant in the sum of $1000.00 ECC in one (1) month or spend six (6) months at His Majesty’s Prison.

Taxi Driver charged with Theft

On March 27, 2025, police arrested and charged Titus Gregg, a 48-year-old Taxi Driver of Bequia, with the offence of Theft. 

According to investigations, the accused stole one (1) 1600 Nissan engine from motor vehicle H-237 valued at $6,000.00ECC-the property of Clement McIntosh, a 61-year-old Chef of the same address. 

The offence was committed in Bequia between December 5, 2024, and February 2, 2025. Gregg was granted station bail in the sum of $2000.00 ECC with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Bequia Magistrate Court on August 22, 2025,to answer to the charge.
