The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said it is investigating a fatal road traffic accident that occurred in the early hours of December 13, 2024, in Point, which tragically claimed the life of a 31-year-old conductor.
In a December 13 press release, the RSVGPF said: “Preliminary investigations reveal that a green Toyota Hiace passenger van, registration HA-42, was traveling from Owia to Georgetown, when it reportedly encountered mechanical difficulties, veered off the roadway, and went over an embankment.”
“Olando ‘Lando’ Davis, a 31-year-old conductor of Richland Park, died at the scene. Additionally, two passengers, including an adult female and a minor, sustained injuries and were transported to the Modern Medical Hospital in Georgetown for medical attention,” police said.

The RSVGPF said it extends its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Davis and continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Belair Labourer charged with multiple Traffic Offences
December 13, 2024 – Kingstown: On December 11, 2024, police arrested and charged Mathew Quammie, a 20-year-old Labourer of Belair, with multiple traffic offences. According to investigations the complainant:
● Operated the vehicle without being the holder of a valid driving permit.
● Operated the vehicle without a policy of insurance in force.
● Operated the vehicle without the permission or consent of the owner.
● Damaged the vehicle without lawful excuse by driving it into a wall, the property of a 38-year-old Secretary of Brighton.
The offences occurred on December 10, 2024, in Arnos Vale. Quammie was granted bail in the sum of $2,000.00 ECC with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Calliaqua Magistrate Court on December 16, 2024, to answer the charges.
POLICE RELEASE #2:
Yambou Chauffeur charged with multiple Traffic Offences
On December 11, 2024, police arrested and charged Nixon Archibald, a 28-year-old Chauffeur of Yambou, with multiple traffic offences. Investigations revealed that Archibald:
● Drove the vehicle without the relevant license for the period October 1, 2024, to December 12, 2024.
● Allowed the vehicle to be used without a policy of insurance in force.
● Drove the vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public.
These offences were committed while the defendant operatedmotor vehicle PA-214, on December 9, 2024, in Calder. Archibald was granted bail in the sum of $1,500.00 ECC with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Calliaqua Magistrate Court on December 16, 2024, to answer the charges.

Rose Hall Labourer charged with Theft
On December 11, 2024, police arrested and charged Moty Thomas, a 55-year-old Labourer of Rose Hall, with the offence of Theft.
According to investigations, the accused entered the dwelling house of a sixty-five-year-old resident of Chateaubelair, as a trespasser and stole one (1) BOSVG ATM Card valued at $15.00 ECC, one (1) National Identification card valued at $250.00 ECC, and one (1) black radio valued at $80.00 ECC, total value $345.00 ECC.
The offence was committed in Chateaubelair between December 8, 2024, and December 10, 2024.
Thomas appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate Court on December 12, 2024, and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was sentenced to eighteen months and two weeks imprisonment at His Majesty’s Prison.
