Vincentian Designer Recognised by CARICOM for Impact in the Creative Arts

Vincentian designer Kimya Glasgow, Founder and Creative Director of Kimya Glasgow Designs Inc., has been recognised by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) for her impact in the creative arts, earning a place among 56 Caribbean women shaping STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) under the regional HERizon: CARICOM Women Shaping STEAM campaign.

The initiative, led by the CARICOM Girls in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Partnership (CGICT), was launched on World Children’s Day 2025 (November 20) under the theme My Day, My Rights, highlighting the importance of STEAM education as a fundamental right and a driver of the Caribbean’s digital and sustainable future.

Kimya Glasgow has contributed to the creative industries through fashion, sustainability and innovation, representing the “Arts” pillar of STEAM and demonstrating the role of design, cultural storytelling and entrepreneurship in regional development.

According to Ms Glasgow, “Being recognised by CARICOM is deeply affirming, not just for me, but for the creative sector as a whole. Women are leading the Caribbean region forward in powerful ways.”
