The Department of Culture in the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture in collaboration with the Ministry of Education is inviting the nation’s youth to audition for the National Youth Choir (NYC).

The choir, which targets young people ages 13-25, aims to nurture and develop the musical talents of youth across St. Vincent and the Grenadines by providing a platform for personal growth and performance opportunities.

Interested individuals are being encouraged to get registered by November 13th as the auditions are scheduled to take place on Saturday 16 November 2024 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Sunday 17 November 2024 between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The auditions will take place at the original Kingstown Anglican School building on Higginson Street in Kingstown, across from the Methodist Church.

Persons can register at the Department of Culture located on the second floor of the Methodist Church Building opposite the Adventist Church in Kingstown or via this link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1gx3yGHB6S1FCcebJx4HO7dEQfsUoBCm5poAloL2zUis/edit

The National Youth Choir promises to be a wonderful opportunity for students to join a vibrant community of talented individuals and build their self-confidence. Participants are also likely to learn the importance of working together towards a common goal, while enhancing teamwork skills. Joining the NYC will not only help to teach members how to cooperate with each other but it also provides an awesome opportunity for the youth to showcase their talents, through Music. This is your moment to shine.

Interested persons can contact Ms. Rawdica Stephen or Ms. Claydonna Peters at the Department of Culture for more information via telephone number 4512180 or email [email protected].
