UPDATE: Death toll from Paul’s Avenue shooting rises to 3

Police have confirmed that one of the two individuals who were rushed to hospital after being shot on November 30 in Paul’s Avenue has died.

In a December 1 press release, the Public Relations and Complaints Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said: “Of the two individuals who were rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, the critically injured victim later succumbed to his injuries that same day”.

Four men were shot during the incident which took place during the early hours of November 30. Two of them died on the scene.

Police have also revealed the identities of the two men who died on the scene.

The RSVGPF said the men are Mr. Laurence Warren, also known as “BOLO,” a 53-year-old Cart-man of Paul’s Avenue, and Mr. Don Ashton, a 44-year-old Laborer from Ottley Hall.

Identities of the third man who died and the survivor of the ordeal have not been revealed.

Post-mortem examinations for all three deceased men are expected to be conducted soon to determine the exact causes of death, police said.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said it continues its investigation into the fatal shooting incident that occurred in Paul’s Avenue during the early hours of Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said it extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the deceased during this time of immense grief.
