Police say that on Thursday, May 28, 2026, a shooting incident occurred in Campden Park, during which two men were shot.
“At approximately 11:30 a.m., the two labourers were working in the area when a masked man approached them and opened fire.
The victims, identified as Ronald Chambers and Morris-Stan Matthews, both of Campden Park, are said to be in stable condition and are nursing gunshot wounds at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH),” the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said in a press release issued on May 28.
In the release, police said: “In another report, Martinus Ferdinand, a 53-year-old citizen of St. Lucia, was reportedly injured with a fish gun at Lowmans Bay on today’s date and is currently receiving medical treatment at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.”
“Members of the public who may have information that can assist with these investigations are encouraged to contact the Officer in Charge of the Criminal Investigations Department/Major Crimes Unit at 1-784-456-1810 or 1-784-457-1211 ext. 4837 or 4839, or call 999/911. All information received will be treated with strict confidence,” the release further stated.
