Less than a year after bursting onto the scene, Vincentian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter CHILLBILL has been nominated for Best Fusion Artist of the Year at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards.
Hailing from Lowmans Hill on the Leeward coast of St. Vincent, CHILLBILL is quickly earning a reputation as a major crossover star. He is widely recognised for his “Pan-Caribbean” approach, which unites artists and producers from across the region—including international collaborations with Tarrus Riley, Skinny Fabulous, Kevin Lyttle, and two-time Grammy-winning producer IzyBeats, a press release from CHILLBILL’s management team said.
The nomination earns the rising superstar a red-carpet ticket to the prestigious awards ceremony held in New York this August. He faces stiff competition in the category, sharing the ballot with fellow nominees Freetown Collective, Skip Marley, and international sensation Naïka, the release stated.
“This nomination already feels like a win for Chill and the team,” says Marlon Roudette, CHILLBILL’s manager and CEO of Trincy Music. “We’re still barely scratching the surface of his full potential and capabilities. We’re incredibly proud of him.”
