Team Athletics St. Vincent and the Grenadines (TASVG) has paid tribute to the late Karl Woodrow “Keylee” Williams, describing his contribution to sport in St. Vincent and the Grenadines as “legendary” following his passing on Friday, July 10, 2026.
In a statement, the organisation extended condolences to Williams’ wife, family, relatives, and loved ones while recognising the lasting impact he made across the country’s sporting landscape.
“Woodrow’s contribution to the development of sport in St. Vincent and the Grenadines remains legendary,” TASVG said. “The many areas in which he served and contributed were always dedicated to the advancement of Vincentian sport, and the full extent of his impact could fill several pages.”
The organisation noted that the widespread tributes following Williams’ death reflect the influence he had on athletes, administrators and sporting organisations both locally and regionally.
“The heartfelt tributes that have been pouring in are testament to the far-reaching impact of his work in, for, and through sport. No single sporting discipline can claim Woodrow as its own, as he so generously devoted his knowledge, time, energy, and expertise to countless individuals and organisations throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines and beyond,” the statement said.
TASVG also acknowledged the invaluable role Williams played in the organisation’s growth over the years.
“As one of the sporting organisations that benefited greatly from his many talents and contributions, TASVG remains profoundly grateful for all that he did for us in every aspect,” the organisation said.
It called on those whose lives were touched by Williams to honour his legacy by remembering the guidance, education and encouragement he shared throughout his lifetime.
“We ask only that all of our stakeholders and everyone who benefited from his education, training, experience, guidance, and influence preserve his memory as a cherished part of their personal history, always.”
The statement concluded with a final farewell: “May our dear friend, colleague, and brother, Karl Woodrow ‘Keylee’ Williams, rest in eternal peace.”
