Kingstown Town Board Orders Vendors Off Streets and Sidewalks from Saturday (Sep 12)

The Kingstown Town Board has announced that vendors will no longer be allowed to operate on Bedford Street, Bay Street and surrounding areas, including sidewalks, from Saturday, September 12, 2026, as part of a drive to improve order and accessibility in the capital.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the Board said all vendors currently operating in the affected areas are required to return to their assigned market stalls or apply for a stall within one of the town’s designated markets before the new measures take effect.

According to the Board, the decision forms part of its ongoing efforts to keep Kingstown clean, safe, orderly and accessible for residents, shoppers and visitors.

Vendors have been urged to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the implementation date and to comply with the directive.

The Kingstown Town Board also thanked vendors and members of the public for their anticipated cooperation as the new vending arrangements come into effect.
