Man Pleads Not Guilty After 6.66kg of Cocaine Found in AIA Luggage

A 53-year-old Romanian construction worker residing in the United Kingdom has been charged with three cocaine-related offences after six packages containing a substance that tested positive for cocaine were allegedly found in his checked luggage at Argyle International Airport (AIA).

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said Adrian Marian was intercepted at AIA on September 18, 2026, while preparing to travel to the United Kingdom.

According to police, a search of his checked luggage resulted in the discovery of six packages containing a substance which tested positive for cocaine.

Police said the packages were subsequently weighed and amounted to 6,660 grammes.

Marian was arrested on September 18 and formally charged on September 21 with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply it to another, possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of drug trafficking, and attempting to export a controlled drug.

He appeared before the Serious Offences Court on September 21, where, according to police, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Police said Marian was remanded in custody, and the matter was adjourned to October 5, 2026.
